Fox Midseason Premiere Dates: 'Gotham' Final Season, 'Masked Singer' Coming in January
Gotham will return to Fox's Thursday lineup for its final season starting in January. It's part of a fairly busy beginning of 2019 for the network.
The second seasons of The Orville and 24 Hours to Hell and Back, plus new shows The Masked Singer, The Passage and Proven Innocent will also debut in January and February, as will a live staging of the musical Rent. The second installment of Cosmos will arrive in early March.
The Orville will make its debut just before 2018 is out, premiering (as previously announced) following an NFL doubleheader on Sunday, Dec. 30. It moves to its regular home at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Thursday, Jan. 3, following the season-five premiere of Gotham.
Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back, which debuted over the summer, moves into the season with a Jan. 2 premiere. It and The Masked Singer will fill Fox's Wednesdays, while Empire and Star take their usual midseason breaks.
The Passage takes over the 9 p.m. Monday spot from 911 starting Jan. 14, and Proven Innocent goes to Fridays starting Feb. 15. Rent is set for Jan. 27, and Cosmos: Possible Worlds will debut Sunday, March 3. When the latter happens, Bob's Burgers and Family Guy will each slide back a half-hour to 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
