Fox Pushes 'Enlisted' Debut to Midseason

Stars: Geoff Stults, Chris Lowell, Parker Young, Angelique Cabral, Keith David
Team: Kevin Biegel (Cougar Town), Mike Royce; director - Phil Traill

Enlisted is based on Kevin Biegel's relationship with his siblings. The comedy follows three very different brothers working together in the Army at a small base in Florida.

Fox is pushing rookie military comedy Enlisted to midseason.

Originally scheduled to premiere Friday, Nov. 8, the half-hour effort from Cougar Town's Kevin Biegel will now launch Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 in the same 9:30 p.m. time slot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Back-to-back original episodes of Raising Hope will now air on Fridays in the 9 p.m. hour. As previously announced, Bones — making the move from Mondays — will continue to air Fridays at 8 p.m. beginning Nov. 8.

Fox's decision to postpone the debut of Enlisted to early 2014 comes as the network hopes to utilize its forthcoming sports programming this winter, headlined by the World Series, as a promotional platform for the series. The network has struggled to launch shows in the fall, with the baseball playoffs affecting its primetime schedule. (Last year's fall premieres The Mob Doctor and Ben and Kate did not survive past one season.)

Enlisted is a military-set family comedy centering on three brothers who, when the best of the best are sent overseas, stay behind to keep the post in order. Geoff Stults, Chris Lowell and Parker Young star alongside Keith David and Angelique Cabral.

Fox has several properties that will likely receive midseason launches, including Us & Them with Jason Ritter and Alexis Bledel, Surviving Jack with Christopher Meloni and Rake with Greg Kinnear.
