Freeform is ordering more Stitchers.

The young-skewing network has renewed the paranormal series for a third season. The drama starring Emma Ishta, Kyle Harris and Salli Richardson-Whitfield marks the cabler's first procedural series and was a high priority for new network president Tom Ascheim.

Stitchers, from writer Jeff Schechter (Overruled!), centers on a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be "stitched" into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave.

"Stitchers' passionate fanbase has been vocal about wanting to see more of this show, and we listened,” Karey Burke, executive vp of programming and development at Freeform, said Thursday in a statement. Stitchers has proven itself a consistently strong performer, and we’re proud of the fact that it celebrates #smartgirls everywhere.”
