TV Ratings: 'Fringe' Matches Series Low, 'Grimm' Steady

CBS wins the night on the growth of "Blue Bloods" at 10 p.m.

In the latest round of the see-sawing ratings on Fridays, several programs held steady while others improved -- and a few didn't.

CBS won the night, averaging a 1.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic in primetime and a Friday best 10.1 million viewers. A Gifted Man (8.2 million, 1.3) started off a tenth better than it did last week in the demo, but CSI: NY (9.9 million, 1.6) held steady. At 10 p.m. Blue Bloods (12.2 million, 2.0) rose significantly from its last original (2.0 vs. 1.7).

ABC and NBC managed to tie for second place, averaging a 1.3 rating. Chuck (3.2 million, 0.9) stayed flat for NBC as it continues through its final season and fairy tale procedural Grimm (5.4 million, 1.6) -- which NBC just ordered a handful of additional scripts of -- maintained last week's rating. Dateline (5.7 million, 1.5) followed.

ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (5.3 million, 1.3) rose more than half a rating adn drew more than 1 million viewers compared to last week. 20/20 (5 million, 1.4) rose.

Fox placed third on the night, with a 1.2 average. Kitchen Nightmares (3.5 million, 1.4) sank, which did not help Fringe grow from last week's low. In fact, Fringe (2.9 million, 1.1) tied last week's demo performance and hit below the 3 million viewers mark.

The CW's Nikita (1.8 million, 0.6) remained steady while Supernatural (1.5 million, 0.7) dipped slightly.
