Hulu has released the trailer for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's Future Man, and the first look kicks off with a glimpse at the late Glenne Headly in one of her final roles.

The sci-fi comedy was one of Headly's last projects before she died at age 62 in June. "She was a big part of the show," showrunner Ben Karlin said shortly after her death. "It's tough in any environment — but when you're making a comedy, it really throws a wrench in things." The loss won't be addressed on camera.

Future Man stars Josh Hutcherson in the lead role as Josh Futturman, a janitor by day and gamer by night who is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time in order to prevent the extinction of humanity.

Hulu will release all episodes on Nov. 14.

In the trailer Josh tries to save the world from Dr. Elias Kronish (Keith David), whose research leads to the annihilation of the human race. The kicker? "You're telling me that a cure for herpes is what brings down all of mankind?" Future Man's Josh asks. To save the future, he will have to go back in time to prevent Kronish from getting herpes, stopping his motivation to cure it. The unlikely hero stars alongside Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Ed Begley Jr. and Headley, in the role of his mother.

The series was created and executive produced by Sausage Party's Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir and is executive produced and directed by Rogen and Goldberg, along with Matt Tolmach, James Weaver and Ben Karlin. Future Man marks the first half-hour television comedy from Rogen and Goldberg, who directed the pilot from Sony Pictures Television.
