Is this a sign that HBO’s ambitious drama Game of Thrones has hit its stride?

If a consistent rise in viewership is any indication, then the answer would be an easy “yes.” For its fourth episode, Game of Thrones improved to 2.5 million total viewers at 9 p.m., obviously setting another series high.

Combined with the 11 p.m. encore, Thrones drew 3.1 million for both viewings.

Season-to-date, HBO says the Sean Bean-led series has averaged 8.3 million in linear plays, DVR and HBO On Demand.

On Saturday, Lady Gaga’s concert documentary Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour attracted 1.2 million at 9 p.m.
