'Game of Thrones': HBO's Digital Collection Revealed (Exclusive)
The night is dark and full of stickers.
HBO Global Licensing and Quidd have announced a new partnership to release digital stickers and trading cards based on Game of Thrones for iOS and Android users, just in time for Sunday's season seven premiere.
Limited edition stickers featuring Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and other familiar faces from the world of Westeros can be collected through the Quidd app and used to communicate with friends on iMessage and more. Additionally, trading cards featuring highlight moments from the series — the Red Wedding and the Battle of the Bastards, as two violent examples — are also up for collection. New content will be released regularly.
"Partnering with Quidd allows Game of Thrones fans to have a whole new type of digital experience," said Jeff Peters, director of licensing at HBO. "Our viewers love to dissect every plot twist and cliffhanger, and Quidd content will let them continue sharing and talking about each episode long after it airs."
"We've seen such incredible growth on the platform as people, young and old, embrace digital collecting as a means to connect with their favorite show, socialize with fellow fans and express themselves through their fandoms," added Quidd co-founder Michael Bramlage. "We're now bringing that excitement to Game of Thrones viewers who are some of the best fans out there. We can't wait to see all the ways they'll use their digital collectibles."
