'Game of Thrones': Emilia Clarke Weighs in on Big Jon Snow Fan Theory

Is it finally time for The Dragon to meet the Lion?

As Game of Thrones returns with season five Sunday, among the big questions fans are asking themselves: Are Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) going to meet?

The promotional materials for the season heavily suggest it, with a poster showing Tyrion looking at a dragon. Clips also show Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) prodding Tyrion to help him bring Daenerys to King's Landing to sit on the Iron Throne

"I reckon they'd probably get on quite well, because they're quite similar in so many ways," Clarke tells The Hollywood Reporter of a potential meeting between the two fan favorite characters. "It would definitely be a meeting of minds, that's for sure."

Clarke also weighs in on a popular fan theory, which posits that Daenerys and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) are actually related (Google R+L=J if you aren't familiar and don't mind a potential spoiler).

"Kit and I talk about this a bunch, actually," she says of their characters meeting onscreen someday.

Clarke says she was not aware of the rumor that Jon is actually family, but joked that perhaps Daenerys and Jon would "get together" in a romantic way, as that's what Targaryens tend to do to "keep the bloodline pure."

"If me and Jon Snow did meet, it would be interesting," said Clarke. "It would be funny, but I think Daenerys would ultimately kick his ass."
