As Fox's Glee inches toward its series finale, a new couple is starting to emerge.

While Sue may have hypnotized Sam (Chord Overstreet) to have feelings for Rachel (Lea Michele), there may be a real romantic relationship forming between the two.

Last week, the pair both blew off their date but during Friday's "What the World Needs Now" episode of the Fox musical, Sam and Rachel will attempt to move on — and things are getting awkward.

While the pair attempt to apologize to one another for bailing on each other, Sam and Rachel both confess that they're starting to have feelings beyond friendship. While Sam admits he still has strong feelings for Mercedes (Amber Riley), his attempt to exit the awkward encounter with Rachel ends with him muttering three very big words: "I love you." What's more: Rachel responds by saying the same.

Speaking of Mercedes, she makes her return during Friday's episode, which will feature Burt Bacharach tribute week, in a bid to convince Rachel to pursue her Broadway dreams.
