ABC's The Goldbergs is staging a Bridesmaids reunion.

Feature writer/actress Annie Mumolo has been tapped to guest star on ABC's 1980s-set comedy, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Mumolo will play a rival "smother" opposite Bridesmaids alum Wendi McLendon-Covey and appear during an episode slated to air in 2014.

Mumolo, who co-wrote the screenplay for Bridesmaids, also had a minor part in the feature, playing a nervous woman on the plane in the movie starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne and Ellie Kemper.

The news comes after ABC picked up the semi-autobiographical comedy from showrunner Adam F. Goldberg for a full season.

Mumolo's acting credits include Afternoon Delight, This Is 40 and an episode of Modern Family. She's repped by UTA, Thruline and Jackoway Tyerman.

The Goldbergs airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
