Wilshire Studios is going Behind the Music.

NBC's unscripted production arm has signed Behind the Music producer Greg Heller to a development deal, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Through the pact, Heller will develop and produce original unscripted content for the studio. In addition to his work on the long-running VH1 docuseries, Heller's other credits include MTV's Hip Hop Babylon, VH1's Celebrity Fit Club as well as 7 Deadly Hollywood Sins for sister cabler E!

“Greg Heller is an outstanding talent with years of experience in unscripted television,” said Wilshire Studios' svp of development B.J. Levin. “We look forward to a successful partnership as we continue to expand our slate of creative, breakthrough programming.”

Added Heller: "I am thrilled to work with the fearless team at Wilshire. They are a forward-thinking, innovative studio, and I’m confident that our collaboration will result in some incredible programming.”

Heller joins a growing number of producers with deals at Wilshire Studios, including rapper Iggy Azalea and producers Aliyah Silverstein (Hacking Robot, The People's Couch) and Troy Vanderheyden (Don't Be Tardy, Bad Girls Club). The studio is also teaming with Buzzfeed for a true-crime docuseries about Jessica Chambers, the Mississippi teen who was doused with gasoline and set on fire in 2014.

Wilshire Studios' productions include E!'s Live From the Red Carpet and 2016's limited late-night series, Syfy Presents Live From Comic-Con.
