Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is adding a new face to its ranks.

Martin Henderson (Off the Map) has joined the cast of Grey's Anatomy as a new series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

No details about Henderson's role are known yet. He comes to the Shonda Rhimes series just months after the shocking exit of star Patrick Dempsey, whose character was killed off at the end of April.

Henderson's former Off the Map co-star Jason George, who has been recurring on Grey's since season six, was recently promoted to series regular ahead of season 12.

Rhimes executive produced Off the Map as well as the 2009 ABC drama pilot Inside the Box, in which Henderson also starred. His other credits include SundanceTV's The Red Road, the Australian version of Secrets & Lies and the upcoming film Everest.

Grey's Anatomy returns Thursdays at 8 p.m. this fall on ABC.
