Grey’s Anatomy has more work for Debbie Allen.

The ABC medical drama has booked the former Fame star to play Jackson’s (Jesse Williams) mother, Catherine Avery, in the fifth episode of the upcoming season, as first reported by EW.

Allen, who has directed three installments of Grey’s under her belt, will also helm a midseason episode of the series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Allen famously played Lydia Grant on the 1980s series Fame, which was based on the 1980 film, and also had a role in the 2009 feature adaptation.
