'Grey's Anatomy' Season 15 Promo Features a New (Potential) Love for Meredith

The upcoming 15th season of Grey's Anatomy has been dubbed the "season of love," and judging from a new promo, the ABC medical drama is set to deliver on that pledge.

The first footage from season 15 offers a hint at what's in store for leading lady Ellen Pompeo's Meredith Grey — and it's steamy.

The clip offers what is being billed as a "jaw-dropping twist": Footage of Mer and Giacomo Gianniotti's Dr. Andrew DeLuca getting hot and heavy. But what remains to be seen is if this is a dream sequence or reality.

The promo also offers a first look at new season 15 arrivals Chris Carmack (Nashville) and newcomer Alex Landi. Both actors will recur this season as an "Ortho God" named Link and Dr. Nico Kim, the show's first gay male surgeon, respectively.

Elsewhere, Teddy (returning series regular Kim Raver) tells Maggie (Kelly McCreary) that she's 11 weeks pregnant and shots seem to ring out in the OR.

ABC on Monday also released the logline for the two-hour season 15 premiere, titled "With a Wonder and a Wild Desire"/"Broken Together": During the first hour, the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial vie for a new position. Meredith is seemingly distracted and struggles to stay focused, and Maggie finds herself the keeper of a big secret while Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) try to figure out their relationship. Meanwhile, Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex’s (Justin Chambers) honeymoon doesn’t go exactly as planned. In the second hour, new doctors continue to shake up the hospital in typical Grey Sloan manner. Meredith bonds with a patient while Jackson (Jesse Williams) struggles with the meaning behind recent experiences; and after making a life-changing decision, Jo forms an unexpected alliance. Showrunner Krista Vernoff penned the first hour, which is directed by Debbie Allen; Meg Marinis wrote the second, which McKidd directed.
