Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Joins Forces With Colbert's Fake Lifestyle Brand in 'Late Show' Sketch

Preparing for her upcoming New York Goop summit, “In Goop Health,” Gwyneth Paltrow visited The Late Show Thursday, where she and Stephen Colbert teamed up for a satirical discussion on how to maintain a holistic and healthy lifestyle.

“As you know, Goop’s success inspired me to launch my own celebrity lifestyle brand, Covetton House, where each product is lovingly handcrafted to accept your credit card,” Colbert joked. The late-night host then announced that that his brand will be joining Goop at their New York summit to bring “an exclusive line of aspirational, medically-adjacent product-protunities.”

To offer a preview of their mock brand dubbed “Covoopetton,” Colbert introduced Paltrow to the show, where they comically bantered about various health methods. After expressing how excited he was to be “partnering” with the actress for her health summit, Paltrow quickly corrected him: “We're not partnering. We prefer the term 'conscious coupling.'”

Explaining what can be expected for her brand’s weekend summit, Paltrow revealed that guests will be able to have “magnetic acupuncture” and “facial fitness exercises.” “Oh my God, my face hasn’t worked out in months,” Colbert quipped, with Paltrow comically responding, “Tell me about it. My face’s ass is totally sagging.”

The pair then took a moment to hydrate, with Colbert opting for a glass of bee pollen and kale and Paltrow drinking matcha, chia sees, and “tears shed by butterflies during Oprah’s Golden Globes speech." When Colbert asked whether he could try her drink, Paltrow asked if he's mortal, which he said he was. “Then it’s not safe for you,” the actress said.

Colbert then demonstrated a “binaural meditation,” in which he mimicked whale sounds in Paltrow’s ears. Later on, Colbert asked for a “magic face cream” to achieve the “Gwyneth glow.”

“That stuff is far too powerful for your kind,” Paltrow said, as the late-night host proceeded to rub the cream on his face. After learning that it was already working, the late-night host reappeared with a digitally altered face that looked exactly like Paltrow's. "You look amazing," the actress joked.

Paltrow’s “In Goop Health” summit is set to take place in New York City on Saturday (Jan. 27).
