The first trailer for AMC's 1980s tech drama Halt and Catch Fire has hit the Web.

In the show, set in 1983, former IBM executive Joe MacMillan (Lee Pace) plans to reverse-engineer the flagship product of his former employer and forces his current company, Cardiff Electric, into the personal computer race. He recruits Gordon Clark (Scoot McNairy), a has-been engineer who dreams of creating a revolutionary product while also trying to manage his wife Donna (Kerry Bishé) and prodigy Cameron Howe (Mackenzie Davis).

The pounding beat of the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" gives a heightened feel to the high stakes of Halt and Catch Fire, where every move and decision can be costly.

"Let's turn this thing inside out."
