'Homeland' Casts the Russian Saul for Season 5

Production on the upcoming fifth season of Homeland is well underway in Berlin, and the Showtime drama continues to fill out the cast.

After adding four players to the series in June, including Miranda Otto, the drama has also added Ukrainian actor Mark Ivanir. The actor, whose credits include Schindler's List and Israeli drama The Gordin Cell, will play Ivan Krupin.

Krupin is a Russian intelligence agent, serving as Saul's (Mandy Patinkin) counterpart in the SVR. The role is billed as recurring.

Elsewhere, Micah Hauptman will join the series as a guest, playing CIA tech Mills, who works with Otto's character out of the Berlin Station. Hauptman's other TV credits include Masters of Sex, White Collar and The Lottery.

Homeland returns to Showtime this fall.
