'House Hunters On Vacation,' 'Chopped All Stars' to Launch on Food Network, HGTV

The Scripps Networks channels are looking to add new programs after recent ratings challenges.

NEW YORK - An L.A. version of Selling New York, a makeover show called HGTV'd that launches this summer and limited-run spin-off House Hunters On Vacation are among the shows that HGTV will roll out this year in an effort to refresh its programming lineup.

Scripps Networks Interactive management on a conference call Thursday also mentioned that HGTV will add more than a dozen new personalities in 2011. Related: Scripps Networks profit rises 38% on ad, fee gains

The company's HGTV and Food Network faced weaker ratings in recent months, and management said it is ready to increase programming spending to add new shows.

Executives also mentioned that the Food Network will this year feature such new shows as Restaurant: Impossible, which recently launched, Chopped All Stars, a short series starting next month that is based on the successful Chop't franchise, as well as shows with such names as Tough Cookies and Chocolate Nuts.

More details are expected to be announced during the Scripps upfront.
