Hulu is expanding its deal with The Goldbergs.

The streaming service has acquired the third-year family comedy produced by Sony Pictures Television, the company announced Thursday.

Under the pact, Hulu will become the exclusive streaming home for all existing episodes of the comedy based on the life of showrunner Adam F. Goldberg. It will be the only digital outlet with episodes of the show available the day after their ABC broadcast.

All episodes of the comedy about a Jewish family in 1980-something are available to stream for Hulu subscribers for $7.99 a month, with limited commercials, and $11.99 per month, with zero ads.

The deal expands Sony's relationship with Hulu after it inked a massive deal to secure streaming rights for the entire Seinfeld library. Hulu already had been the exclusive outlet to offer the five most recent episodes of The Goldbergs.

The deal comes as The Goldbergs has become a steady performer and part of ABC's Wednesday comedy block since it moved to the more family-friendly night after launching its freshman season on Tuesdays. The series returned Wednesday with its third-season premiere, where it held steady year-over-year — a good sign amid a challenging landscape for scripted comedy.
