James Cromwell Joins 'Berlin Station' Season 3 at Epix
Berlin Station is bringing James Cromwell into the fold for its third season.
The Emmy winner and Oscar nominee will have a recurring part on the Epix spy thriller as Gilbert Dorn, a former CIA legend who was put out to pasture. Appearing on a podcast, Dorn reveals information about past missions, complicating the present-day situation for station chief Valerie Edwards (Michelle Forbes).
Season three of Berlin Station takes place over an 11-day period as Edwards and her team navigate a high-stakes moment in the relationship between Russia, the U.S. and the latter's NATO allies.
Cromwell won an Emmy in 2013 for his role on American Horror Story and has three other nominations to his credit. He earned an Oscar nod in 1996 for Babe.
His recent work includes Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, HBO's Succession and The Young Pope and TBS' The Detour. He's also set for a recurring part on season two of Starz's Counterpart.
Berlin Station is set to begin its third season Dec. 3 on Epix. Olen Steinhauer created the Paramount Television/Anonymous Content show and executive produces with showrunner Jason Horwitch, Eric Roth, Steve Golin, Kerry Kohansky-Roberts, Keith Redmon and Luke Rivett.
In addition to Forbes, the cast includes Richard Armitage, Richard Jenkins, Rhys Ifans, Leland Orser, Ashley Judd and Keke Palmer. Ismael Cruz Cordova will be a new regular in the coming season.
