Jax Media is bolstering its executive ranks.

The production company known for comedy hits like Broad City and Inside Amy Schumer has hired Brooke Posch as president of original programming. The Comedy Central alum will executive produce and oversee both East and West Coast development.

Posch joins Jax Media from Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions, where she developed multiple pilots and series alongside Poehler as the company’s executive producer and co-head. Previously, she served as senior vp original programming and development at Comedy Central, where she first worked on Jax shows.

Posch continues to serve as an exec producer on Broad City and NBC’s upcoming reality-competition series Making It. She was also an exec producer on Difficult People, which ended its run on Hulu this past year. Posch started her career in the industry working as Lorne Michaels' assistant on Saturday Night Live. In 2013, she was named to The Hollywood Reporter's Next Gen list while she was at Comedy Central.

Founded in 2011 by Tony Hernandez alongside Lilly Burns and John Skidmore, Jax Media is a film and television studio that has collected over 25 Emmy nominations and nearly 20 Critics Choice nominations. In addition, Jax has also produced several comedy specials with comedians such as Chris Rock, Amy Schumer and Mike Birbiglia. Upcoming series include Poehler and Natasha Lyonne’s show Russian Doll for Netflix, The Other Two for Comedy Central and the new season of Roseanne on ABC.
