Recently on MTV’s Jersey Shore, DJ Pauly Delvecchio was the only cast mate to stay with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino when he was injured after a brawl with roommate Ronnie Magro. But in a recent interview, Pauly says he generally tries to minimize his contact with The Situation.

“We’re not really on the outs with him,” Pauly tells PR.com. “He’s a… he’s an interesting dude. He likes to start trouble and we’re just really not into that.”

So far on Season 4 in Italy, Mike first caused drama when he told the roommates that he and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi had hooked up while she was in a relationship with her current boyfriend, Jionni LaValle. And more recently he got into the fight with Ronnie, because he told Sammi Giancola that her on-again-off-gain boyfriend was planning on bringing five other girls to the house.

“When I went to Italy I was into Italy and I wanted to have a good time,” Pauly D says. “And that’s all I wanted to do. I just want to have fun and I don’t want to deal with drama. It’s how I’ve been my whole life, and on the show. I stay away from the drama, so I stay away from [Mike] a little bit.”

So, one guess as to whom Pauly says is his best friend on the cast… Duh. Vinny Guadagnino.
