Joel McHale and Hoda Kotb Roast Bonnie Hammer, Hollywood's Most Powerful Woman, at THR Event

The annual Power 100 Women in Entertainment Breakfast was full of laughs when Joel McHale and Hoda Kotb roasted The Hollywood Reporter’s No. 1 entry and cover lady.

"Bonnie Hammer oversees some very well-respected cable networks," said Today co-host Koth at Milk Studios in Los Angeles. Community star McHale added: "And also E!"

"Bonnie, I know you wanted this event to be kept completely private,"McHale said to the chairman of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Group, in the audience. "So don’t worry, it’s being simulcast on the Esquire Network." Ouch.

The comedian introduced himself as the only person in the room who was both canceled and re-signed by NBCUniversal this year and ended with thanking Hammer for his new pool and tennis court and for feeding and clothing his children for the past decade.

"Last year Oprah Winfrey joined us,” Koth said, remembering THR’s 2013 recipient of the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award. She looked over at McHale: “For some reason, this year we’re saddened with this jackass."

McHale shot back: "I wasn't planning to be here, but hey, when Hoda Kotb nudges you and says, 'Get up baby, I'm ravished after last night,' you get up and go to breakfast."

The event was presented by Lifetime and sponsored by Gucci, Samsung Galaxy, Audi, Roberto Coin and Gersh.
