Netflix's figure staking drama has replaced its star.

The streaming giant has cast The Maze Runner's Kaya Scodelario in the lead role two months after Emma Roberts dropped out of the project due to a scheduling conflict.

Scodelario will play Kat Baker, an up-and-coming, high-level singles skater who is about to turn in her blades after a disastrous fall took her off the competition track. When Kat seizes an opportunity to continue her career as a pair skater with a talented bad-boy partner, she risks exposing a fiercely kept secret that could unravel her entire life. On and off the ice, Kat and her new partner will face daunting odds, injuries to body and soul, financial sacrifice and even a potential mental breakdown on their way to realizing their Olympic dreams.

Former competitive figure skater Samantha Stratton (Mr. Mercedes) and Lara Olsen (90210) will executive produce and serve as co-showrunners. The project hails from Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold of Safehouse Pictures, whose credits include WGN America's Underground as well as the features King Arthur and My Blind Brother. Harold's credits include Edge of Tomorrow and penning DC's upcoming feature The Flash. Safehouse's Matt Schwartz is also on board as a co-exec producer.

Scodelario is best known as the female lead in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, opposite Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. The British actress has also starred in The Maze Runner films and recently shot the Ted Bundy movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile alongside Zac Efron, which will premiere at Sundance in 2019.

Scodelario is repped by CAA, Curtis Brown and Bloom Hergott.
