Kevin Costner: Stephen Hawking Came Over to Talk About Whitney Houston

It took the actor a while to realize why the renowned physicist had paid him a visit.

Stephen Hawking appears to have a rather strong affinity for Whitney Houston.

Kevin Costner was a guest on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he revealed that the author and physicist stopped by his house unexpectedly in the early 2000s.

Costner said that Hawking and an entourage of about 10 people showed up, and it took a while for the Theory of Everything subject to explain the reason for his visit.

"I was waiting for [him to explain], and finally he said, 'I'd like to know about Whitney Houston,'" Costner revealed. Costner co-starred with Houston in 1992's smash hit The Bodyguard.

The actor didn't necessarily blame Hawking for wanting to chat about Houston. "I said, 'You're not the only one, Steve,'" Costner added.
