Kirstie Alley has booked a role on Will Arnett's new comedy. When each episode of Netflix's Flaked rolls out in 2016, one of them will include a visit from the Cheers actress.

Appearing alongside Arnett in his new vehicle, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Alley will play the mother of David Sullivan's character — the best friend of Arnett's Chip. "Jackie" is described as free-spirited and slightly wayward, with an appetite for male affection that has always been a problem for a her son.

Flaked, from Arnett and Mark Chappell, is a serio-comic story about a longtime resident of Venice Beach, whose world starts to unravel when when the half-truths he's spun in the insular beach town start to unravel.

For Alley, the role follows a string of guest gigs on The Middle and Hot in Cleveland after the end of her own TV Land sitcom, Kirstie, in 2014.

Alley is repped by Untitled Entertainment.
