Larenz Tate Boards NBC's 'Game of Silence'

After fielding multiple pilot offers this season, Larenz Tate has made a selection.

The in-demand actor has booked a co-starring role in NBC drama pilot Game of Silence, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The drama centers on Jackson (Revolution's David Lyons), a rising attorney on the brink of success who could lose his perfectly crafted life when his long lost childhood friends threaten to expose a dark secret from their violent past. Based on the Turkish format Suskunlar.

Tate will play Tony, the peacemaker among the group of four friends who has a good sense of humor. He was scarred emotionally and physically by the work he was forced to do in prison, and now battles addiction issues. He hangs out with Gil and helps him with his petty crime schemes. Good-hearted but lonely and limited by his own-self doubts, he is a team player who has always looked up to Jackson.

Parenthood's David Hudgins will pen the script and executive produce the Sony Pictures Television drama alongside CSI alum Carol Mendelsohn, Julie Weitz, Timur Savci, Tariq Jalil and Niels Arden Oplev, with the latter attached to direct.

Tate, who most recently had a recurring role on Showtime's House of Lies and regular role on USA Network's short-lived drama Rush. He's repped by Paradigm, Brillstein and Hansen Jacobson.
