Last Resort is adding an ex-Navy SEAL to the mix.

Californication actor Jason Beghe has booked a guest starring gig on ABC's submarine drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

From Shawn Ryan and Karl Gajdusek, Last Resort follows a crew led by Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) that finds refuge on the island of Sainte Marina after disobeying orders from the U.S. government.

Beghe, currently filming an arc on NBC's Chicago Fire, will play Wes Porter, an old mentor to Navy SEAL James King (Daniel Lissing). He will appear in the ninth episode, airing Dec 13.
