Matt Damon is once again on hosting duty for this week's Saturday Night Live, and he's kicking off the holiday episode with a tense Secret Santa.

In a promo for his upcoming appearance, the actor declared, "Secret Santa is my favorite day of the year." As musical guests Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson began the gift-giving process, the group's enthusiasm collectively diminished when a turkey sandwich emerged as the first present.

Beck Bennet tried to explain to Ronson, the recipient of his gift, that the sandwich was meaningful to their friendship, though no one seemed convinced.

Upon Damon's turn, he handed a gift to Miley Cyrus: a diamond necklace.

And then, for the big moment. Cecily Strong handed Damon his present, a homemade (yet curiously unfinished) scarf. The group pushed Damon to put on the scarf, and he obliged, but not without muttering that his favorite day was "ruined."

Damon will host the Dec.15 episode with Cyrus and Ronson as the musical guests. Watch the full promo below.
