Melissa McCarthy, who graces the cover of this week’s Hollywood Reporter issue, will be hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time on Saturday.

The show released a series of introductions that the Bridesmaids star made with SNL’s Andy Samberg. The hilarious clips range from a joke about her memorable scene in Bridesmaids involving a sink and a bowel movement, to a little dance session.

McCarthy, who stars on CBS’ Mike & Molly and recently won an Emmy, told THR that she broke down into tears when she heard she’d been asked to host SNL.

She was out shopping with Bridesmaids’ Annie Mumolo when McCarthy’s "team" called to see if she was up to host SNL. "I went into such an embarrassing, weird, inappropriately loud cry," says McCarthy of her response, laughing about a story she shares often. "Annie was running in circles. She thinks something horrible is happening because I'm bent over, literally, in the rug section of Living Spaces wailing."

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 37th season last week with host Alec Baldwin. On Saturday’s episode, McCarthy’s musical guest will be Lady Antebellum.
