Michelle Obama Makes 'SportsCenter's' Highlights Reel (Video)

The first lady's White House soccer clinic earns praise from the popular ESPN show.

First lady Michelle Obama's soccer clinic on the White House's South Lawn earned praise from ESPN's SportsCenter.

The long-running program included a clip of Obama running "futbol" drills with kids on its Top Plays montage Thursday night.

Obama is shown kicking the ball around, doing exercises, and giving high fives. SportsCenter noted, "The first lady has made promoting physical activity and healthier eating for children on of her priorities."

Obama hosted the U.S. women's national soccer team at the clinic for members of Philadelphia's Soccer Sisters United and Woodbridge, Virginia's Prince William Courage Soccer Clubs. She said of the World Cup finalists, "We are proud fo their accomplishment this summer. They've made us incredibly proud."

Women's national soccer team players Nicole Barnhart, Rachel Buehler, Lori Lindsey, Alex Morgan, Kelley O’Hara and Becky Sauerbrunn attended the event, which was part of Obama's "Let's Move!" initiative.
