CBS is filling its Monday vacancy from The Millers with a familiar face.

The network has slotted the fifth season of Melissa McCarthy comedy to take over the Mondays at 8:30 p.m. slot previously occupied by the Will Arnett series.

Starting Monday, Dec. 8, Mike and Molly will air in The Millers former time slot. The week prior, on Dec. 1, CBS will run a four-episode marathon with repeats of Mike & Molly from 8-10 p.m. followed by a rebroadcast of freshman procedural Scorpion.

Last season, Mike & Molly  — from Warner Bros. Television — returned in November and aired at 9 p.m., filling the gap that came after CBS axed rookie comedy We Are Men.

CBS canceled The Millerslate Friday, midway through production on its second season. The sophomore comedy from showrunner Greg Garcia and produced in-house was dragging down Scorpion.
