Paul Corrigan Brad Walsh Split - H 2014

Modern Family studio 20th Century Fox Television has locked up writing and producing duo Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh.

The duo, who have been with the Emmy-winning ABC comedy series since its inception, will continue to serve as executive producers and develop new projects under their new two-year overall deal with the studio. (Corrigan and Walsh first inked a two-year deal with the studio in 2010.)

In Corrigan and Walsh's five seasons with Modern Family, the multiple Emmy-winning writers-producers have collected a WGA Award nomination for writing the "Career Day" episode of the comedy and share in the series' WGA and PGA nominations this year. The pair, who spent four years on Fox/20th's King of the Hill, also shared in the 2013 Primetime Emmy win for outstanding comedy series, where Modern Family -- from co-creators/co-showrunners Steve Levitan and Chris Lloyd -- has taken home the statuette for four consecutive years.

"Paul and Brad have been on Modern Family since the beginning, and our relationship with them dates all the way back to King of the Hill. They're smart, funny guys, and Chris and Steve love them as much as we do," 20th Century Fox TV chairman and CEO Dana Walden said. "Five seasons in, Modern Family is about as perfect a comedy series as there is, and this deal with Paul and Brad keeps them on this winning team as well as allows them to develop their own projects down the road."

The duo is repped by UTA and attorney Jared Levine.

Corrigan and Walsh are the latest members of the Modern Family team to sign overall deals with the studio. Former staff writer Elaine Ko inked a two-year pact with 20th in June and was promoted to supervising producer on the series, which last year enlisted Up All Night creator Emily Spivey to its writing staff.
