MTV is expanding its roster of female-driven fare.

Viacom's MTV has picked up a hidden-camera unscripted show from Girl Code alums, including Nicole Byer, who is also attached to star in one of three new scripted comedy pilots, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The three scripted comedies include the untitled Byer comedy in which the UCB alum plays a young adult who moves to the suburbs; a half-hour from Leap Year and Can't Hardly Wait's Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont about weed dealers with a smokin' app; and Little Darlings, about two friends who take justice into their own hands.

"We are excited to be in business with some of the smartest and funniest voices out there and can't wait to see these projects come to life," said Mina Lefevre, executive vp and head of scripted for MTV. "These unique and provocative comedies are the perfect way for us to expand our existing slate."

Here's a closer look at the three pilots:

Untitled Nicole Byer Project

Byer stars as a young adult who is forced to move in with her sister and four kids in the suburbs after causing a fire in her New York apartment. "Aunt Nicole" will offer her own brand of advice to her sister’s kids while trying to get her life back on track. Executive producers include Christian Lander, Avi Gilbert and 3 Arts Entertainment. Byer will also be credited as a consulting producer.

Untitled Kaplan/Elfont Pilot

From writing team and executive producers Kaplan and Elfont (Leap Year, Can’t Hardly Wait), the comedy revolves around weed dealers Paige and Jordan who see themselves as entrepreneurs. Their dope delivery app is quickly gaining popularity with foodies, celebrities and – the most particular and crucial consumers – hipsters. The pilot takes a look at two girls living in L.A. who are desperate to succeed, find romance and keep their clients happy and high – all with the least amount of effort possible. Entertainment 360 will executive produce.

Little Darlings

Created by 27-year-old Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Little Darlings is described as a dark half-hour comedy about two unlikely friends taking justice into their own hands and kicking literal ass on their college campus. Jules comes off as the perfect sorority dream girl, but little do her red-cup-toting sisters know, she’s got a completely different agenda come nightfall. Ophelia, your everyday stoner-hacker-hellion, has officially run out of effs to give, and when she discovers Jules may be the masked vigilante exacting justice on campus, her interest in college life is re-energized. Stacey Sher (Into the Badlands, Reno 911) will executive produce and Robinson will co-executive produce and pen the pilot.

The three comedies join Fancy Bastards, an animated comedy pilot presentation picked up in May. The comedies also mark the first orders since Susanne Daniels exited MTV for YouTube in July. On the scripted side, MTV has had success with female-driven comedies Awkward and Faking It, with the former poised to end after season five. The cabler's drama ranks are better represented with Finding Carter, Teen Wolf, Scream and the upcoming fantasy drama Shannara.

On the unscripted side, MTV has picked up series Ladylike, a half-hour hidden-camera prank show featuring Girl Code alums Byer, Jade Catta-Preta and Matteo Lane as well as comedian Blair Socci. The series will redefine what it means to be "ladylike," and feature the cast challenging social norms by inflicting uncompromising and ridiculous situations on the unsuspecting public. The series hails from EP Ryan Ling and Bird Brain Productions, which is also behind the upcoming fourth season of Girl Code.

"Girl Code is all about smart and funny women who aren’t afraid to talk about anything, and Ladylike takes that sensibility to the streets to raise hell and challenge a few gender norms along the way,” said Lauren Dolgen, head of reality programming and executive vp series development.

Byer is with APA, CESD and 3 Arts; Robinson is with CAA, Gotham Group and Morris Yorn; Sher is with CAA and Gang Tyre; Kaplan and Elfont are with CAA, Management 360 and Sloane Offer.
