MTV Shuffles Monday Night Lineup

"Death Valley" and "Cuff'd" will swap time slots starting Monday.

MTV is giving some extra protection to rookie comedy Death Valley.

Starting Monday, Oct. 17, the network is swapping rookie scripted comedy Death Valley with its half-hour documentary series Cuff’d.

Rob Drydek’s Ridiculousness will keep its 10 p.m. slot, and be followed by Cuff’d at 10:30 p.m. and Death Valley at 11 p.m.

The move comes as the network continues its push into scripted programming, with Death Valley moving to the 11 p.m. hour where the network found success with rookie comedy Awkward.

The time slot switch also takes horror-comedy Death Valley out of head-to-head competition with ratings winner Monday Night Football and is considered a sign of faith in the series.
