MTV Video Music Awards Teaser: It's Britney Spears' Turn (Video)

The pop singer gives a nod to her muses as she prepares for her own tribute at the 2011 VMAs.

Britney Spears gives credit to the female pop singers who have inspired her in a new promo for MTV’s Video Music Awards, which also seems to announce she will receive a tribute of her own at this year’s event.

Set to air during Thursday’s new episode of Jersey Shore at 10 p.m., we have an early look at the teaser featuring Spears’ music mashed together with the women who inspired her, Janet Jackson and Madonna. Spears is also nominated for Best Pop Video for "Till The World Ends."

Earlier Thursday, MTV announced that singer-songwriter Bruno Mars is joining previously announced performers, Adele, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and Young the Giant.

Additionally, Jonah Hill, Selena Gomez, Seth Rogen and Kim Kardashian are among the stars scheduled to present.

The VMAs will air Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m.
