MTV has picked up its second drama series in less than two weeks.

The network handed out a 10-episode series order to Eye Candy on Tuesday, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Eye Candy is described as a cyber thriller based on R.L. Stine's (Goosebumps) best-seller. Victorious alum Victoria Justice stars as Lindy, a tech genius who, convinced by her roommate to begin online dating, starts to suspect that one of her mysterious suitors may be a deadly cyber stalker. When her friends at the elusive cyber police uncover a potential serial killer in Manhattan, all signs point to one of Lindy's dates. Teaming with a band of hackers, Lindy works to solve the murders while unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York.

Emmy Grinwis penned the script and co-executive produces the drama. Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity) executive produces the drama via his Blumhouse Productions banner. Yvonne Bernard and Beth Elise Hawk are also on board as EPs. Harvey Guillen will co-star, while all the other roles save for Justice will be recast. The initial pilot, which was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, will not be used. Hardwicke will remain an EP.

For youth-skewing MTV, the Eye Candy order comes less than two weeks after it picked up the Kathryn Prescott starrer Finding Carter to series with a 12-episode commitment. Premiere dates for both series -- which were ordered to pilot together in September -- have not yet been determined.

Eye Candy joins a rapidly growing roster of original scripted programming at MTV that includes Finding Carter, Awkward and Teen Wolf, as well as upcoming freshman comedies Happyland and Faking It. This now gives the network three original dramas and three original comedies as its programming president Susanne Daniels continues to build up MTV's scripted fare beyond veterans Awkward and Teen Wolf.

With Eye Candy's pickup, that leaves Scream still in the mix, with casting on that drama yet to begin.
