NBC Adds to 'Whitney' Script Order

STILL ALIVE: "Whitney"

THR's Tim Goodman had NBC's "Whitney" down for sure death. Apparently, NBC will keep anything.

NBC is further investing in Whitney.

The network has ordered five additional scripts for the second-year comedy starring Whitney Cummings, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The series, which had been greenlit for a 13-episode second year and scheduled for Fridays this fall, was bumped from the schedule ahead of its early October return.

The series ultimately landed on Wednesdays starting next week where it takes over the slot of freshman comedy Animal Practice, which NBC opted to move forward with following its initial 13-episode order.
