NBC Picks Up 'Still Standing' Competition Series

NBC has picked up competitive reality series Still Standing (working title).

Standing, based on the Israeli series of the same name, gives contestants the chance to win by out-guessing 10 competitors in 10 trivia battles.

NBC has ordered eight episodes of the series, which premiered in December last year in Israel, boosting Channel 10’s average ratings by more than 50 percent in the time slot.

“This game show has proven its popularity overseas with its breakneck pace, physical humor and intense face-offs,” said Paul Telegdy, executive vice president of alternative programming at NBC and Universal Media Studios. “U.S. audiences will surely enjoy its swift and wit-filled antics.”

The series was created and produced by July-August's Lisa Shiloach-Uzrad and Amit Stratener, with international distribution by Armoza Formats.

Production on Season 2 of Standing is currently under way in Israel with double the episode order.
