Netflix may be expanding its relationship with Marvel.

The streaming service is eyeing a potential stand-alone series called The Punisher, a Daredevil spinoff, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

As first reported by TV Line, the potential spinoff — which is in very early development — would star Jon Bernthal and feature The Walking Dead alum reprising his character Frank Castle (aka the Punisher), who is poised to make his debut during season two of Daredevil.

Should The Punisher move forward at Netflix, it would be the streaming service's sixth Marvel drama, joining Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and mash-up mini The Defenders.

For Marvel, meanwhile, the comic book powerhouse would have at least eight series on the air if The Punisher moves forward, joining ABC's Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter. The network also is developing drama Marvel's Most Wanted, a spinoff of SHIELD.

The potential series comes as Netflix is looking to have a new original series to debut every week of the year as part of a $1 billion investment in original programming.

Bernthal is set to make his Daredevil debut on March 18.
