Ryan Murphy is continuing to book his American Horror Story: Hotel, announcing on Memorial Day that New Girl actor Max Greenfield has joined the cast of the FX anthology series.

The showrunner tweeted that Greenfield's appearance would be "like you've never seen him" and suggested a potentially fatal storyline, writing that he'll be "checking in to the hotel ... but not checking out."

Greenfield joins a cast that includes Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson.

The fifth season of the FX anthology will take place in a haunted hotel and is set to debut in October.

Greenfield will also appear in the fifth season of Fox's New Girl, which will debut in January.

Greenfield is repped by WME.
