New 'Vinyl' Trailer Previews Bobby Cannavale's Rock 'n' Roll Company Goals
"Think back to the first time you heard a song that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, made you want to dance or go out and kick somebody's ass," says Bobby Cannavale in the new trailer for Vinyl. "That's what I'm talking about."
The HBO rock 'n' roll drama stars the Boardwalk Empire alum as Richie, the founder and president of American Century Records who has a great ear for discovering talent and who undergoes a crisis of character when confronted with a life-altering decision. Olivia Wilde stars as Richie's wife, with Ray Romano set as one of his partners. The cast also includes Juno Temple, Andrew Dice Clay, Ato Essandoh, Max Casella, James Jagger, Jack Quaid, Birgitte Hjort Sorensen, P.J. Byrne, J.C. MacKenzie, Bo Dietl, Armen Garo, Robert Funaro and Joe Caniano.
Martin Scorsese directed the pilot and executive produces alongside Terence Winter, Rick Yorn, Victoria Pearman, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, George Mastras and producer Mick Jagger. Winter is set as showrunner and penned the script with Mastras.
"I believe in this company's future," Cannavale adds in the trailer, "new, fresh, fast, exciting. That's what I want. ... That's rock 'n' roll. It's fast, it's dirty, it smashes you over the head."
Vinyl premieres in January on HBO. Watch the latest trailer below.
