CBS All Access will give its subscribers something to binge — besides turkey — on Thanksgiving: the second season of its comedy No Activity.

The streaming service will release all eight episodes of the series on Nov. 22. No Activity will be the first show CBS All Access has released on a binge model; it has previously released its shows one episode at a time a la the conventional network model. Fellow streamer Hulu generally follows the weekly model as well, while Netflix and Amazon largely drop series all at once.

No Activity, however, lends itself more to a binge model, said Marc DeBevoise, president and COO of CBS Interactive.

"We saw that when we dropped season one (which was weekly), a lot of people came in towards the end of the season and watched multiple episodes at once," DeBevoise told The Hollywood Reporter. "Given the timing of season two — dropping for Thanksgiving weekend — it was the perfect time and series for us to experiment with dropping all episodes at once."

DeBevoise said viewing patterns for CBS All Access shows vary from show to show, with a series like Star Trek: Discovery bringing a sizable amount of "appointment viewing." Going forward, the service will likely offer a mix of viewing options based on audience needs and the type of show.

"In general, we see big spikes in viewership around the premiere of a show and its weekly releases but we also see continual, new interest throughout the year," said the exec. "Clearly those that come in on the first day are watching on a weekly basis, and the subscribers coming in later in the season and post-season are looking to binge more than one episode at a time."

No Activity stars Patrick Brammall and Tim Meadows as Detectives Nick Cullen and Judd Tolbeck, low-level cops who spend inordinate amounts of time in their car on stakeouts. Brammall and Trent O'Donnell co-developed and executive produce the series along with Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Joe Farrell, Jason Burrows and Joe Hardesty. CBS Television Studios produces with Funny or Die, Jungle (which produced the Australian series on which No Activity is based) and Ferrell and McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions.

Returning guest stars for season two include J.K. Simmons, Jake Johnson, Sunita Mani, Jason Mantzoukas and Amy Sedaris. Jessica Alba, Chris Gethard, Max Greenfield, Joe Mangianello, Cristin Milioti and Nasim Pedrad will also guest in season two, which also involves a corruption scandal within the police department.
