Taylor Swift is the key adviser for the current season of The Voice, NBC confirmed Friday, a little over a month after reports of her involvement surfaced.

Swift will serve as the sole mentor for all of the artists on each of the four teams.

Swift will advise each of the performers during the upcoming Knockout Rounds, airing Oct. 27 and 28 and Nov. 3, on vocal technique, stage presence and the importance of tailoring songs to fit their personalities and strengths.

The Knockout Round pits singers from the same team against each other in sudden-death solo performances. It was removed last season and replaced with a second slew of battles.

The role of universal adviser is still relatively new to the series; last season Coldplay's Chris Martin mentored singers from all teams for the first time in the show's run.

Swift — whose fifth studio album, 1989, drops Oct. 27 — joins an already star-studded season. Along with new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, the upcoming run will feature guest mentors Stevie Nicks with Adam Levine, Gavin Rossdale with wife Stefani, Little Big Town with Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys with Williams. The four acts will share their expertise in the rehearsal room during the first battle round.
