Comic-Con: Watch Aladdin and Jafar Make Their 'Once Upon a Time' Debut

'Aladdin' (1992)

Williams voiced the Genie in Disney's classic Oscar-winning animated feature Aladdin, which earned the actor a special award at the Golden Globes in 1993.

Once Upon a Time is introducing two more iconic Disney characters in season six.

The ABC fantasy drama has cast Oded Fehr (Covert Affairs) as Jafar and Deniz Akdeniz (Graceland) as Aladdin, it was revealed Saturday at Comic-Con. Additionally, Galavant's Karen David will portray Princess Jasmine.

The panel for the series ended with the first scene from the season six premiere, in which both Jafar and Aladdin were shown. Watch that, below.

Since Once Upon a Time hails from ABC, which is owned by Disney, the fairytale series has welcomed characters from several of the film studio's most popular animated films.

However, season six will mark the first time any characters from the 1992 film Aladdin will be featured on the series.

Fehr's other credits include The Mummy, Sleeper Cell and NCIS. Akdeniz most recently guest-starred on Code Black earlier this year.
