'Parks and Recreation' 10-Year Reunion Set for PaleyFest

The Paley Center's annual PaleyFest L.A. will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of NBC's Parks and Recreation at its annual PaleyFest in Los Angeles.

Set for March 15-24 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, PaleyFest will also feature panels with the cast and creators of FX's history-making drama Pose and NBC tearjerker This Is Us. Other panels will be announced in the coming days.

The panel for Peabody winner Parks and Recreation will reunite the full cast of the Amy Poehler comedy from showrunner Mike Schur as well as feature the show's creative team. Parks originally premiered in April 2009 and was a launchpad for its cast, including Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt, among others.

"We’re thrilled to be reuniting at PaleyFest. And truth be told, we were all hanging out already anyway, so carpooling will be easy,” Poehler and Schur said in a joint statement.

FX's Pose, which has become a regular staple on critics' best-of 2018 lists and an early awards season darling, features the largest cast of transgender actors in series regular roles as well as the biggest recurring cast of LGBTQ actors ever for a scripted series. The drama was co-created by Steven Canals and Ryan Murphy and will make its debut at PaleyFest.

"Pose holds a special place in my heart, and so does being honored at PaleyFest, which to my mind has always meant a show has broken through culturally,” Murphy said. “I’m excited for my incredible cast and collaborators to gather with me in March and have a direct conversation with our audience who have been so supportive. It promises to be a special night."

This Is Us, created by Dan Fogelman and starring Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore and Sterling K. Brown, will make its second appearance at PaleyFest. "We had a wonderful time at PaleyFest celebrating the first season of This Is Us and we are so excited to get the opportunity to be back again honoring another remarkable season of This Is Us with our incredible fans,” Moore said.

"Every year PaleyFest presents the best of television, providing fans with a rare behind-the-scenes look at both the hottest new shows as well as beloved classics,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center’s President and CEO. “We could not be more thrilled to announce our first three selections: two highly acclaimed dramas and a special cast reunion 10 years in the making!”

A list of attendees for any of the three panels has not yet been released. Specific dates for all three panels will be announced as part of the full schedule Jan. 14. Presale tickets for Paley Center members go on sale Jan. 15-16. General on sale begins Jan. 17.
