Fox's Pitch is adding a key player to its family.

UnREAL's bachelor, B.J. Britt, has been tapped for a recurring role on the network's upcoming baseball drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Pitch — produced in partnership with Major League Baseball — centers on Ginny Baker, a young female pitcher (Kylie Bunbury of Under the Dome) who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.

Britt will play Will, Ginny's older brother, who initially manages Ginny's career before she hits the majors and is very close with his sister. He's supportive and does his best to offer her good advice about her game and career.

Britt is currently starring on Lifetime's UnREAL in which he plays the drama's central bachelor on its show-within-the-show Everlasting. He's also part of BET drama Being Mary Jane, where he plays Gabrielle Union's brother, and has played Agent Triplett on ABC's Agents of SHIELD. His résumé includes One Tree Hill, The Vampire Diaries, Bones and Sons of Anarchy. He's repped by Joseph Le Talent Agency and Primary Wave Entertainment.

Britt joins recently cast JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who booked a recurring role on the series from Dan Fogelman, Kevin Falls and Rick Singer.

The cast also includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, Mo McRae and fellow recurring players Bob Balaban as Frank Reid, the owner of the Padres; Chastity Dotson as Janet Baker, Ginny's mother; Ryan Dorsey as Tommy Miller, the pitcher Ginny replaced on the team's roster and her antagonist; Jack McGee as Buck, the team's pitching coach; and Michael Beach as Bill Baker, Ginny's father.

Pitch is set to premiere Thursday, Sept. 22, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. Watch the trailer, below.
