President's Jobs Speech Causes HBO Screening Change and NFL Pre-Game Move
President Barack Obama's speech on his jobs plan to a joint session of Congress Thursday night is wreaking havoc with two very different media audiences.
Time Magazine and HBO's advance screening of the documentary Beyond 9/11: Portraits of Resilience was originally supposed to feature a Q&A following with Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, but because the speech was moved from Wednesday night to Thursday, Clinton was forced to cancel. Screening attendees aren't being abandoned; former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani has already been scheduled to replace Clinton.

Meanwhile, NBC still plans to broadcast Thursday's season opening NFL game between the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers, however the traditional pre-game show is being shuffled off to cable to make way for the president's speech. The good news for football fans is that the show is being expanded to 90 minutes and will be simulcast on USA, G4, SyFy, Versus and NFL Network starting at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
