'Pretty Little Liars': 5 Most Shocking Moments From "O Brother, Where Art Thou"
[Warning: This story contains spoilers from Tuesday's episode of ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars.]
Watching home movies is never fun, and that's especially true on this week's Pretty Little Liars.
In Tuesday's episode of the ABC Family drama, it's Charles' birthday, but it's "A" who is dolling out the presents, including a chilling note for Ali (Sasha Pieterse) and Jason (Drew Van Acker). Meanwhile, Hanna (Ashley Benson) learned about her mysterious benefactor, and Toby (Keegan Allen) found out why you should never eat someone else's candy without asking.
Here are five unforgettable moments from "O Brother, Where Art Thou."
5. Good news, Mike and Mona shippers
Mike (Cody Christian) wasn't feeling good about his prospects with ex-flame Mona (Janel Parrish) at the start of the episode, but he had definitely bounced back by the end. Mike visited Mona to comfort her, and the two ended up smooching.
4. Hanna has some unlikely supporters
It's sweet that Ms. Marin (Laura Leighton) did her best to find a scholarship for Hanna, but there's no question that plenty of question marks surround the Carassimi Group. Hanna is bewildered as to why the company that paid to close Radley would have taken an interest in her. Unfortunately, her mom has already cashed the scholarship check before her daughter can convince her to do otherwise.
3. Sara surprises Emily
Emily (Shay Mitchell) clearly felt like a third wheel during her outing with Sara (Dre Davis) and Claire (Skyler Day), as the two reconnected over their love of Monkey. Em was not thrilled when Sara decided to move in with Claire's folks, but that just meant that Sara wanted her romance with Emily to blossom. Em even earned another kiss for her efforts.
2. Toby enjoys some funny candy
Toby wasn't exactly able to bring his A-game when he arrived at the arcade for Charles' festivities, as the cop had inadvertently ingested a ton of Spencer's weed gummis. This meant he fell to the ground and was pummeled by skee-balls from Charles. Needless to say, Toby wasn't feeling tight with Spence later at the police station.
1. Jason and Ali hear the home movie
Charles left a present for Alison and Jason in the form of the birthday-party footage, as the years-ago shindig turned out to have been for Charles, not their second cousin. Ali, who had been held captive by her dad for the duration of the episode, found a note from Charles that read, "I wAnted to trust you." Meanwhile, Jason lamented that he wasn't able to get his bro to turn himself in. Don't beat yourself up, Jason — since "A" will probably do that soon enough.
