ABC Family's new summer drama The Fosters is adding a mysterious new character.

Pretty Little Liars actor Brandon W. Jones, who recurred as Spencer's academic decathlon team member Andrew, has joined the cast of the Jennifer Lopez-produced drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

Jones will appear in at least four episodes as Liam, a charming young man with a forceful intensity lurking beneath the surface. He shares a checkered past with Callie (Maia Mitchell), who is frankly terrified of him. When he finally learns where she has been living, it may spell trouble for her. His first appearance is slated for mid-July.

Co-created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige, The Fosters centers on two moms (Teri Polo and Sherri Saum) as they raise a multi-ethnic family with foster and biological kids. Jake T. Austin, Cierra Ramirez, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert and Danny Nucci co-star.

Jones is repped by Greene & Associates and Velocity Entertainment. His past TV credits include arcs on CSI and Lie to Me.

The Fosters debuts at 9 p.m. June 3 on ABC Family.
